Barrie Scardinia

Position: Executive Managing Director, Head of Retail Services, Americas | Cushman & Wakefield

Barrie joined global real estate brokerage firm Cushman & Wakefield as Executive Managing Director and Head of Retail Services, Americas in November of 2019, working closely with clients, local retail professionals, and the Americas Retail Services platform team. In her Americas leadership role, she is responsible for building stronger retail client relationships and deepening the firm’s retail expertise, including expanding on retailer tenant representation strategies and agency leasing opportunities. Her vast retail experience allows the firm to more closely collaborate with brands in key areas of their real estate strategy including site selection, store rationalization, and space utilization. Scardina also focuses on spearheading crucial concerns retailers are faced with including technology, end-to-end inventory management, omni-channel integration, and business valuation.

Prior to her appointment at Cushman & Wakfield, Scardina has spent the past three decades leading strategic retail initiatives across a variety of world-class organizations including Polo Ralph Lauren, The Children’s Place, Tory Burch and Liz Claiborne. She brings more than 15 years of executive experience to her new role with Cushman & Wakefield, including expertise in creating long-range strategies, business forecasting, omni-channel inventory management, system implementation and integration, consumer-facing technology, and product lifecycle management. Most recently Scardina was with Calvin Klein, where she led the company’s North American Retail Division as President, setting strategic direction for merchandising, consumer experience, and operational improvements. She is results-oriented focusing on delivering strategies to meet consumer demand and grow profits.

Throughout her career, Scardina has focused on mentoring and developing talent and creating cultures that foster collaboration and equality. At Calvin Klein, she held several diversity and inclusion roles including leading the LGBTQ business resource group and participating in the Women’s Leadership Council.

Scardina is a graduate of the Wharton School of Business’ Philips Van Heusen Global Leadership Program. She currently serves as a board member of Safe Horizon, a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, and a council member of Cushman & Wakefield’s Women’s Integrated Network (Tri-state Chapter).
